Dedham Historical Society & Museum 2015 Spring House Tour; May 31

On May 31 celebrate Dedham’s rich architectural history with a self-guided walking tour of wonderful homes in one of Dedham’s historic neighborhoods. This year’s tour includes five great houses plus the Fairbanks House, the oldest timber-frame house in New England. The tour includes a c1895 shingle style home, a 1960 ranch house transformed in 1982, a 1946 gambrel roofed cottage with major additions, a c1855 home which stylistically transitions from the late Greek Revival to the early Italianate design, and a c1965 home by architect William Berkes of Deck House, Inc. The tour will take place rain or shine. We welcome children age ten or older. Ticket prices are: $25 for DHS members; $30 for non-members. Tickets purchased in advance may be picked up the day of the tour at the Dedham Historical Society & Museum beginning at 11:30am.

On the day of the tour, tickets go on sale at 12 noon. The houses are open from 12 noon – 4pm.  Refreshments will be served along the way. Raffle tickets for an original Dedham Pottery Swan Plate are available at the refreshment area. 1 Raffle ticket $5.00 or 3 for $10. The drawing takes place at 4pm on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Dedham Historical Society & Museum. You do not need to be present to win.
