On June 16, Mass Humanities announced that the DHSM was selected, along with 122 other humanities organizations in the state, to receive funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The grants are made possible by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), which received $75 million from the $2 trillion CARES Act legislation passed in March 2020.
The DHSM received $2,500 through the CARES Act grant. These funds will make possible and provide the opportunity to expand accessibility and outreach related to the humanities.
