“Abstract Bunny”!
The Dedham Museum & Archive announces its newest annual ornament, Abstract Bunny.
“If Picasso painted a rabbit, said the Museum staff, it would resemble this abstract image.” This annual ornament is the fourth in the series produced exclusively for the museum.
The stylized image is from a Dedham Pottery plate in the Museum’s collection. It is the only known Dedham Pottery example of this off-center rabbit design, which was inspired by Asian examples that influenced the pottery.
The Annual ornaments (and other items) are available at the museum gift shop, Tuesdays through Fridays, 11a.m.-5p.m., and the second and fourth Saturdays, 11a.m.-2p.m. Abstract and some of our other gift items will also be available at the Winter Farmer’s Market, December 14, 10a.m.-1p.m., at First Church.
