Memorial Day, May 27th, 3:00 p.m.
On Memorial Day, May 27th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., join us on the Museum lawn (612 High Street) as Taps is performed in a nationwide salute to remember fallen service members.
On Memorial Day, Americans remember those who have died in military service to the United States. THE NATIONAL MOMENT OF REMEMBRANCE is an annual event that asks all citizens, wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time, to pause for a duration of one minute in tribute to the men and women who have honorably served in uniform and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
Please join us in honoring fallen U.S. service members as TAPS is performed at 3:00 p.m. on the front lawn of Dedham Museum & Archive. HONOR. REFLECT. REMEMBER.
The Museum will open specially on Memorial Day from 3:05-4:00 for those in attendance who would like to be the first to see the newly installed exhibit on Revolutionary War hero Major General the Marquis de Lafayette.
Dedham Museum & Archive is a Blue Star Museum. From May 18th (Armed Forces Day) through Labor Day, September 2nd, free admission is offered to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.
